El Niño Perdido

NOAA released their winter weather outlook for 2012-2013 and predict that the western half of the US will be warmer than usual and only parts of the southeast will be wetter than normal.  Apparently El Niño has not developed as expected, which is making the prediction difficult.

Midair Crash: Hangglider vs. Paraglider

This looks real bad for the hang glider.  You can see his wing spinning below before it crashes into the trees. Apparently he tried to throw his reserve parachute but it got caught on his wing and did not release.
